Coordinator of Music Ministries 

First UMC in Salem is seeking a full-time, Coordinator of Music Ministries.The person will work primarily with choirs and bells, but will be expected to coordinate, cooperate, and collaborate with our Contemporary Worship Band Leaders.  Bachelor's Degree required. Facilities Coordinator 

Camp Alta Mons, Shawsville, VA, is seeking a full-time, year round Facilities Coordinator. Director of Next Generation Ministries (full-time)

Raleigh Court United Methodist Church in Roanoke is seeking a Director of Next Generation Ministries who will have the responsibility of teaching, guiding, and directing children and students, from birth through high school, about the Christian faith. The right candidate for this position will be an inspirational self-starter who has a vision and knows how to share that vision with other leaders and get them excited and eager to carry it out. This person should have a real love for children and students and a desire to do whatever it takes to ensure that they know the love of God. Part-time Director of Youth and/or Children's Ministries

Mount Pleasant UMC in Roanoke is seeking someone for this salaried position, averaging 20 hours a week, if including both age groups.  Primary involvements have included Sunday morning Kids church, overseeing nursery staffing, liaison with Scout groups, administering safe sanctuary policies, Sunday evening youth group, Wednesday afternoon elementary after-school program, all-day Wednesday programming for elementary during summer, as well as special events like mission trips, youth retreat, etc.  Interested applicants should send resume and letter of interest to Pastor Robert Stutes - (posted 8/23/18).  

Director of Children's Ministries

Bonsack UMC in Roanoke, VA (a progressive church in a suburban setting) is seeking a part-time Director of Children's Ministry. This staff person will develop ministries for children (birth-5th grade), in the church and to the wider community, to help children experience the love of Christ. The Director of Children's Ministry will provide oversight for paid staff and a volunteer team to help each to live out her/his passion in working with children while aligning with the BUMC vision which provides ministry in its suburban context as well as extensive ministry to the inner city. Applicants should have at least three years experience in a multi-staff church, a degree in Children's Ministry or an equivalent, and gifts of creativity and curriculum writing/development. Pianist/Choir Director
Mays Memorial UMC is in need of a pianist/choir director. The choir is small in number but great in spirit. They practice on Tuesday evening at 6:30. Worship service is Sunday at 11:15.
