We join with you in prayer for our brothers and sisters as they deal with the devastation from recent hurricanes
Many of you are asking how you can help.  The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is the body in our denomination that assists during these times of disaster.  At this time UMCOR recommends that your church do the following:

1.  Continue to Pray for those affected.

2.  Make Cleaning Kits (Flood Buckets)

To be good stewards of resources this effort needs coordination and will take time and planning. Your buckets WILL be collected and WILL be used to resupply the UMCOR warehouses to be used some area of need within the United States.

3. Donate to UMCOR through Advance:  #901670.   Any donations collected by your church can be sent along with your conference apportionment payment to the VAUMC Treasurer's office.  Remember to always have your GCFA # and indicate on the remittance form the funds are for US Disaster Response.  For individual donations go to:  www.umcor.org
