FAITHFUL AGING CONFERENCEApril 24.   The Faithful Aging Conference attempts to address opportunities related to an again congregation and meeting the needs of older members, inside and outside the walls of our faith communities.  CLICK HERE older for all the information.

LEADING ON THE EDGE:  Saturday, April 28. Focusing on some of today's relevant issues and how churches can be relatable. Training for laity and clergy with featured speakers on:

  • Poverty and Homelessness -- Carol Tuning, BSW & Paula Prince, PhD.
  • Human Sexuality - Members of the Wesley at VA Tech community of Grace for LGBTQ students
  • Religion and Race - Judith Diggs, BS, MS
  • Faith and Mental Health -- Dr. Ralph R. McKenzie, D.O., M.S.
$10.00 cost with lunch provided 9 am - 3 pm. Each session will begin with a message from the speaker, followed by small group discussions. HELPING HANDS: June 28-29 at Greene Memorial UMC. Helping Hands is an exciting two-day mission experience for children (rising 4th through 6th Graders) offered to all member churches of the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church.
