Mission Encounter: July 27-29 at Smith Mountain Lake 4-H Center. This is an opportunity to study current issues impacting society. Cooperative event sponsored by the VA Conference Missional Ministries Board and the VA Conference UMW. Four studies are available: Embracing Wholeness; Missionary Conferences of the UMC in the US; What About Our Money; and Money Matters (a children's study). Rev. Jaehaeng Choi, pastor at Fincastle, is one of the workshop leaders. DAY RATES are: $90 with all meals, no room; $60 for Saturday only, includes all meals. CLICK HERE for a PDF flyer.
Lay Servant Academy: August 17-19 at Smith Mountain Lake 4-H Center. We are excited to be offering some new classes this year and fantastic worship as we fellowship, worship, pray and Learn & Love like Jesus. Regenerations Workshop: Sat, Sept 30, 8:30 am - 4 pm at Greene Memorial UMC in Roanoke. Jessica Stollings will present Regenerations: Connecting Perspectives, Realizing Possibilities, a workshop focused on accomplishing cohesive ministry, taking into account the perspectives of all generations. 5 Talent Academy: Tuesday, Oct 30 at Thrasher Memorial UMC in Vinton (video feed). Influence 2018: Worship! With Bishop Sharma Lewis, Matt Miofsky, Jason Byasse, and Greg Moore. 5 Talent Academy is changing its format and will now be held annually.
